Have you ever noticed that your energy seems to drop at almost the same time every day?
Maybe you are productive all morning, but suddenly lose focus in the afternoon. Perhaps you become emotionally sensitive around a particular time, start overthinking, reach for your phone, feel unusually irritated, or find yourself repeating a familiar behavior.
It is easy to dismiss these moments as random.
But before assuming they mean nothing—or immediately interpreting them as a spiritual sign—there is something much simpler you can do:
Observe the pattern.
When Your Energy Drops at the Same Time Every Day
A single difficult afternoon does not necessarily reveal a pattern. What becomes interesting is repetition.
If a similar shift happens repeatedly, begin paying attention not only to when it occurs, but also to what happens immediately before it.
Ask yourself:
- What was I doing?
- Who was I interacting with?
- What was I thinking about?
- What emotion appeared first?
- Did my focus suddenly change?
- Was I hungry, tired, overstimulated, or stressed?
- What happened in the 20–40 minutes before I noticed the shift?
The goal is not to decide what the pattern means yet. The first step is simply gathering information.
The Pattern Often Begins Before the Energy Drop
One of the easiest mistakes to make is tracking only the moment when you finally feel drained.
Instead, look backward.
The most useful clue may be the conversation you had 15 minutes earlier, the thought you kept repeating, the task you were avoiding, the notification that distracted you, or the emotional reaction you barely noticed.
This creates a different question.
Instead of asking:
“Why do I suddenly feel this way?”
Try asking:
“What was happening before my energy changed?”
TRY THIS TODAY: The 3-Day Energy Pattern Tracker
For the next three days, create a simple note on your phone.
Whenever you notice a meaningful shift in your energy, record:
TIME:
WHAT I WAS DOING:
WHAT I WAS THINKING:
WHAT I FELT:
WHAT HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE:
That’s it.
Do not analyze each entry while you are recording it. Do not decide that something is a sign. Do not try to force a spiritual explanation.
Collect first. Interpret later.
After three days, compare your notes.
Look for repetition in the time, environment, people, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and situations surrounding the shift.
What Is Leak Hour™?
This type of pattern recognition is one of the ideas behind Leak Hour™.
Your Leak Hour™ is not meant to label one part of your day as a “bad hour,” nor does it mean something negative must happen at a specific time.
Instead, Leak Hour™ provides a personalized daily window that can be used to observe when distraction, emotional overload, recurring behaviors, or familiar energetic patterns may become easier to notice.
The important part is awareness.
Once you recognize a recurring pattern, you have an opportunity to respond before automatically repeating it.
What Can You Do When You Notice the Pattern?
You do not necessarily need an elaborate ritual.
Start small.
- Pause before responding to an emotional message.
- Step away from your phone for a few minutes.
- Take several slow breaths.
- Drink water and reconnect with your body.
- Write down the thought that keeps repeating.
- Delay an impulsive decision until you feel more centered.
Sometimes awareness itself interrupts the automatic response.
Your Timing Is Personal
Not everyone experiences energy shifts in the same way.
Your routines, responsibilities, environment, emotional state, sleep, stress, interactions, and many other factors can influence how a particular day feels.
That is why observing your own patterns matters more than assuming that a particular hour has the same meaning for everyone.
Your experience gives you information.
And when you begin tracking that information consistently, patterns that once seemed random may become easier to recognize.

If you want to go beyond general observation, the Leak Hour™ Blueprint explores your personalized daily window and provides additional insight into the patterns surrounding it.

But whether you use a report or simply begin with the three-day exercise, remember:
You don’t always need another sign.
Sometimes the most useful information is already repeating.
You just have to notice it.
